Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you use Swayampe, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it. It applies to this website and to any enquiry you submit through it.

Last updated 25 September 2026

What we collect

We collect only what is needed to assess your loan requirement and introduce you to suitable lending partners.

  • Identity and contact details: name, email address, mobile number and city.
  • Financial information: loan amount sought, employment status, income and existing obligations.
  • Documents you choose to share with us in support of an application.
  • Technical information: device type, browser and pages visited, used to keep the site working and secure.

Why we collect it

  • To understand your requirement and assess which partner lenders are likely to be a fit.
  • To introduce you to those lenders and support your application through to disbursement.
  • To contact you about your enquiry.
  • To meet our legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.

Consent

We share your information with a lending partner only where you have given consent for that specific purpose. Consent is recorded against the purpose it was given for, and you may withdraw it at any time by writing to us. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything already done on the basis of it, and may mean we can no longer progress your application.

Who we share it with

Swayampe is a Direct Selling Agent and loan marketplace. We are not a lender. To do anything useful for you, we share your information with partner banks and non-banking financial companies.

  • Partner banks and NBFCs, for the purpose of assessing your eligibility.
  • Credit information companies, where a lender initiates a credit check.
  • Service providers who help us operate the platform, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Regulators, law enforcement or courts, where we are legally required to do so.

How long we keep it

We retain your information for as long as needed to serve the purpose it was collected for, and thereafter for the period required by applicable law and by our agreements with lending partners. When neither applies, we delete or anonymise it.

How we protect it

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access restricted to staff who need it for their role. Sensitive identifiers such as PAN are encrypted at the field level and displayed only in masked form. Access to documents is logged.

Your rights

To exercise any of these, write to us using the contact details on this page. We will respond within the timelines set by applicable law.

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to erase information we no longer have a lawful basis to keep.
  • Withdraw a consent you previously gave.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to operate the site and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. Your browser settings can block cookies, though some parts of the site may then not work as intended.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be communicated through the site.
